ADCI Concealed Fastener System
Labor Savings
ADCI concealed HPL system is typically 50% faster to install compared to other concealed systems do to the following efficiency benefits.
This system only requires the insulation to be attached minimally since the extruded support will eliminate redundant fastening.
You do not have to cut the insulation around clips or brackets like other time-consuming systems.
The water proofing layer is permeable and located out board of the insulation for efficiency, easier access, better performance, and is more visible for QAQC purposes.
A single horizontal rail fastens back to the studs and provides the adequate air cavity and a self-aligning system depth.
Panel clips are installed at the factory, so panels are ready to lock onto the rail upon arrival with no additional panel preparation.
Elaborate flashing details are eliminated with the systems perimeter closures and UV stable underlayment.
Engineering
With ADCIs ASTM 330 structural testing, and available project specific engineering calculations, you are provided a solid foundation for system performance you can count on for risk mitigation.
Compliance
ADCIs class A system complies with ASTM C1289 type1 class 1 and type 2, ASTM E84, ASTM IBC section 2603 & R316, ASRA 90.1, will not detract from NAPF 285, 268, 286 passes ASTM E2357 and is ABAA Approved as an air barrier with ADC products.
Building Performance and 20-year warranty:
ADCI is a true continuous insulation system and does not have clips or supports continuing beyond or into the insulation cavity reducing thermal transfer. This benefit ensures the dew point will always set up within the insulation eliminating the possibility moisture, mold, or corrosion. This is very critical to the long-term performance of the studs and fasteners within the wall. R values are adjustable with the system and ADC can accommodate almost any necessary requirement. Example: the standard system provides a 20.5 R value with no additional insulation required up to zone 5. With the high-quality metal insulation facers there is significant radiant performance realized further increasing the systems performance. Testing shows there is a 57-degree temperature differential benefit in addition to the R values with the systems rainscreen approach and adequate ventilation to ensure the façade materials have the best possible long-term performance.
All these benefits add up to a real 20-year product warranty and an optional weather tightness warranty with QAQC and waterproofing consulting available to ensure qualified installers perform the work and there is no compromise in performance.
System Depth/Adjustability
Most specifications mandate a ¼” at 20’ for structural members and stud walls. The ADCI System works extremely well with these tolerances and can easily tolerate typical discrepancies to ensure a very flat façade face. The standard system dept is 5.25 “ . There are many possibilities to accommodate specific project needs and most customization is available at standard pricing. Retrofit projects may require free design assistance from a qualified ADC representative. Project specific engineering is also available for highly complex customized systems.
